Southtowns Stars Seeks 11 Day Power Play Players
For the second year in a row, the Southtowns Stars Organization is looking for players and goalies to participate in one 3-hour shift during The 11 Day Power Play (11DPP) that will be held this November at Buffalo Riverworks. This charitable event benefits Roswell Park, Camp Good Days, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and a partnership between Roswell Park and Oishei Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Program. It has raised over $4 million dollars since its inception in 2017.
The Stars 11DPP team was formed in 2020 in remembrance of one of our own, Andrew Bouquard, and raised over $16,000 last year to support this great cause. Coach Andy was a cancer survivor, an employee of Roswell Park, a member of The 11DPP Board of Directors, and a coach within the Stars Organization for a number of years. The 11DPP was a special event that Andy held near and dear to his heart.
Event Details:
In the spirit of the event, the kids will bond, raise money, and play in a fun game of hockey that they will always remember. If your player is interested and willing to make this commitment, please contact Jay Spoto as soon as possible at 561-706-8062 or registrar@southtownsstars.com. There are a limited number of spots available and they will be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis.
