TRAVEL HOCKEY REGISTRATION STEPS

Dear Travel Hockey Parents,

We are truly excited you have selected the Southtowns Stars for your youth hockey experience. We are looking forward to an exciting season filled with fun, learning and success. Be sure to dig around in our website to find important information you may need during the course of the season. 

Below is a checklist of steps each family must take to ensure your child is registered, rostered and ready for the season.  Please take note of the start and end dates each step.

AS A PARENT OF A TRAVEL HOCKEY PLAYER WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO?

  • Attend one of the listed tryouts for your child's age group & team
  • At the time of contract signing you will be expected to submit a $250 deposit via check or money order made payable to Southtowns Stars AHA.
  • A the time of contract signing you must submit a valid copy of the player's birth certificate or travel visa. If you are coming from another organization, you must have a signed copy of a release form with at the start of the tryout.

 

USA HOCKEY YEARLY MEMBERSHIP

  • Beginning APRIL 1, 2019 you must register through USA Hockey for a new 2019-2020 registration membership number. (This is required to register for STSAHA) Do not register prior to April 1st as this will only count for the 2018-2019 season.

SOUTHTOWNS STARS REGISTRATION

  • Beginning April 6, 2019 you must register to be on your team via the Southtowns Stars website under the registration tab. At the time of online registration you will be given the option to pay in full or split the payment into two payments of $250 which will be collected at online registration, $100 will be debited on June 30th and the final $100 payment on July 30th.

ADDITIONAL TEAM INFORMATION

  • Teams will conduct a team parent meeting to inform you of expectations, team budgets and/or additional fees related to team expenses.

Help Us Celebrate!

Help us celebrate your team's success. Send us your photos along with a caption describing the photo, head coach and date/s of the event.  We will post it to our Social Media outlets which include Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Send your photos to Interim Director of Social Media, Rich Vittoria @ 716-706-5560. We look forward to helping you celebrate your team and their success.


Southtowns Stars Refund Policy
 

Travel/MOHL/Girl's Hockey:

  • When a player is chosen and/or registered for a spot on a travel/MOHL or Girl's team a $250 non refundable deposit is due.
  • This deposit IS NOT eligible for a refund with the exception of an extreme extenuating circumstance at the discretion of the Chief Operating Officer/President and the Southtowns Stars Board of Directors.
  • In certain cases family may choose to initiate a Refund Request via the electronic form located on this page.
  • This request DOES NOT guarantee a partial or full refund, however in some extenuating circumstances the Chief Operating Officer/President along with the Southtowns Stars Board of Directors may approve a partial or full refund after a complete review of the submitted request and an official vote by the Southtowns Stars Board of Directors.

Kindly Note:

  • If a refund is granted the player WILL NOT receive a release until the end of the season.
  • An injury DOES NOT warrant a refund as this may occur as a result of a contact sport.
  • Leaving a team by choice or deciding not to play DOES NOT warrant a refund request as budgets are set at the start of the season and expenditures are based on the number of players registered to a team.
  • In many cases disciplinary removal DOES NOT warrant a refund request as budgets are set at the start of the season and expenditures are based on the number of players registered to a team.
