TRAVEL HOCKEY REGISTRATION STEPS

Dear Travel Hockey Parents,

We are thrilled that you have selected the Southtowns Stars for your youth hockey experience. We are looking forward to an exciting season filled with fun, learning and success. Be sure to explore our website for important information you may need this season. 

Below is a checklist of steps to ensure your child is registered, rostered and ready for the season.  Please note the timelines in each step.

AS A PARENT OF A TRAVEL HOCKEY PLAYER WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO?

  • Attend one of the listed tryouts for your child's age group & team
  • At the time of contract signing you will be expected to submit a $250 deposit via check or money order made payable to Southtowns Stars AHA.
  • A the time of contract signing you must submit a valid copy of the player's birth certificate or travel visa. If you are coming from another organization, you must have a signed copy of a release form with at the start of the tryout.

 

USA HOCKEY ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

  • Beginning APRIL 1, 2023 you must register through USA Hockey for a new 2023-2024 registration membership number. (This is required before registering for STSAHA). Do not register prior to April 1st as this will only count for the prior season.

SOUTHTOWNS STARS REGISTRATION

  • After registering with USA Hockey, you must register with your team on the Southtowns Stars website. There's $800 due at the time of online registration.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Teams will conduct individual team parent meetings to inform you of expectations, team budgets and/or additional fees related to team expenses.

Help us celebrate your team's success. Send us your photos along with a caption describing the photo, head coach and date/s of the event.  We will post it to our social media channels, which include Facebook & Instagram. Southtowns Stars Refund Policy
 

Travel/MOHL/Girl's Hockey:

  • When a player is chosen and/or registered for a spot on a travel/MOHL or Girl's team a $250 non refundable deposit is due.
  • This deposit IS NOT eligible for a refund with the exception of an extreme extenuating circumstance at the discretion of the Chief Operating Officer/President and the Southtowns Stars Board of Directors.
  • There will be NO REFUNDS of fees paid to STSAHA. Budgets are set based on the number of players and full payment. Insurance is available through SE when you register your player, this is through a 3rd party and NOT STSAHA

Kindly Note:

  • Releases can be requested, but generally will not be honored unless there's an EXTREME circumstance that warrants it. 
  • An injury DOES NOT warrant a refund as this may occur as a result of a contact sport.
  • Leaving a team by choice or deciding not to play DOES NOT warrant a refund request as budgets are set at the start of the season and expenditures are based on the number of players registered to a team.
  • In many cases disciplinary removal DOES NOT warrant a refund request as budgets are set at the start of the season and expenditures are based on the number of players registered to a team.
